ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) Additional charges have been filed against a St. Johnsbury man accused of sexual abuse connected to his wife’s home day care.
Vermont State Police say a second child has now come forward accusing 77-year-old Thomas Claffey of abuse. Claffey was already arraigned earlier this month for a charge of lewd and lascivious conduct. In that case, he was accused of making a 6-year-old child touch him in a sexually inappropriate manner twice back in 2014. Claffey pleaded not guilty to the prior charges and is due in court again next month.
