ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (WCAX) A St. Johnsbury daycare worker has been charged with lewd and lascivious conduct with a child.
Police began investigating Thomas Claffey, 77, after they received a report of sexual abuse at the home daycare facility. The incident apparently took place in 2014. Claffey helped run the daycare and at times would supervise some of the children. He was arrested Sunday, released on conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court Monday. The investigation is continuing.
