4 men accused of trying to meet teen boys for sex, including WPAFB childcare worker

Four men were indicted Thursday, accused of trying to meet a 15-year-old boy for sex.

One of the men, Matthew Dorian West, 28, of Brookville, is a civilian worker at the Wright Field South Child Development Center at Area B but was removed from his position until the investigation is completed, base officials said earlier.

The other men indicted for an attempt to commit unlawful sexual conduct with a minor are Kenneth Ray Curtis, 50, also of Brookville; Jason Marshall McCright, 47, of Orlando, Florida; and Austin Michael Naas, 23, of Troy, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

All four men tried to meet with a 15-year-old boy for sex. Instead, each was confronted by self-described vigilantes who posed as the teen in an online app; the encounters were recorded and posted on YouTube.

According to a release from the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, following are specific dates and locations where the men were recorded on video:

  • On Jan. 20, McCright went to a McDonald’s restaurant in Englewood, where he was confronted and video recorded.
  • On Feb. 17, West went to an Englewood residence, where he was confronted and video recorded. The Englewood Police Department investigated and identified him. West’s case does not involve WPAFB.
  • On March 1, Curtis went to a Brookville area restaurant where he was confronted and video recorded. Brookville police investigated and identified the defendant.
  • On March 8, Naas went to the Kroger store in Englewood, where he was confronted and video recorded.

“The actions of these defendants are alarming. We will not tolerate anyone in our community or coming to our community with the intent to sexually assault a child,” Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. stated in a release.

Curtis and West are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday; both remain in the Montgomery County Jail.

Warrants were issued Thursday for McCright and Naas, who have arraignments scheduled for March 26, according to the grand jury report.
