Daycare Worker On Trial For Abuse After Having 13-Year-Old Boy’s Baby

A United Kingdom daycare worker is being charged with five counts of sexual activity with a child after it was brought to light by the child’s mother that the child the woman gave birth to was not her husband’s, but the young boy’s instead.

Leah Cordice, 20, had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a boy, who is unable to be named due to age when she was 17-years-old. The victim was 13-years-old at the time the relationship began.

It is unclear how the two knew each other, but after going out and getting intoxicated, Cordice stopped by the boy’s home. While there, she went upstairs to his bedroom where he was playing video games.

The conversation began innocently enough, but according to the boy’s police statement that was read in court, Cordice began to make advances to the point where the two were hugging and eventually kissing. From there, Cordice pulled the boy’s pants down and the two had sex.

This relationship lasted for approximately a year, which was right before the boy turned 14-year-old and Cordice turned 18-years-old. Over the course of that approximate year, Cordice and the boy continued a sexual relationship. The police statement revealed that the two would have sex twice a month.

Cordice revealed to the boy that she had become pregnant the first time the two had sex, the boy testified. The two continued to have sex while she was pregnant after she married her boyfriend, and after she delivered a baby.

Although Cordice initially denied that the two ever had a sexual relationship and that her daughter was her husband’s as opposed to the young boy’s, she recently changed her tune. She now admits that the two did have a sexual relationship. Despite a DNA test revealing that her daughter is 14 million times more likely to be the boy’s daughter than anyone else’s, Cordice denies that her daughter is anyone else’s other than hers and her husband’s.

The boy has said in his police interview that he felt like he “could not really say no,” to Cordice’s advances. He went on to say that he felt used because people who have sex are supposed to “love each other.”

There is sure to be more to come as the trial advances in the coming days.
