The former manager of Team Members Childcare Center, a center owned by the Mescalero Apache Tribe and operated at the Inn of the Mountain Gods on behalf of its employees, pleaded guilty earlier this month in federal court to a charge of theft of government money.
Gina McPherson, 49, of Capitan, was arrested on May 1, and was charged by criminal complaint with theft of public money, a release from the Albuquerque office of the U.S Attorney for the District of New Mexico stated. According to the criminal complaint, McPherson committed the crime from September 2011 through January 2016 on the Mescalero Apache Reservation that abuts Ruidoso and lies within Otero County.
