A licensor for the state agency that regulates day cares tipped off two White Center day care operators who were under investigation for reports of negligence and abuse, coaching them on how to respond to state inspections, according to an updated lawsuit filed Friday.
The year-old lawsuit filed on behalf of 20 children initially targeted Catherine and Marshall Jones, owners and operators of Growing Smart Kid’z Inc., a child care center on South Roxbury Street. Parents of the children alleged that the Joneses abused and neglected their children and that Marshall Jones bathed kids in a laundry room tub without supervision.
