Town hall: ‘Preschool to prison pipeline: A Devastating Outcome”

WASHINGTON (SBG) – Join Sinclair Broadcast Group and host Armstrong Williams for a round table discussion about the preschool to prison pipeline in America.

“According to the department of education, black students comprise 18 percent of the total preschool population but 47 percent of the preschool students that are suspended. Black girls represent 20 percent of the preschool population but 54 percent of the preschool girls that are suspended. Black boys are 19 percent of the male preschool population but 45 percent preschool males that are suspended,” Devin Anderson, Child Care Intern, said in a statement.

Williams will lead an hourlong “Your Voice. Your Future.” town hall with our panel of special guests and discuss the long-term effects these punishments have on young students.

The town hall will take place Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at 7 p.m. EST/4 p.m. PST that will be streaming live, at the top of our website.

Panel guest includes Dr. Ivory Toldson the president of Quality Education for Minorities and Editor-in-Chief, the Cluster Superintendent of Washington D.C Public Schools David Pinder, the 40th Police Commissioner of New York City Police Department Bernard B.
