The families of essential workers with incomes at or below 150% of area median income may apply for 100% subsidies of child care fees charged by licensed providers.

These subsidies are available now and will remain available for the next three months. For this purpose, essential workers are defined in Gov. Greg Abbott’s emergency declaration.

To apply for the subsidies, essential workers in Tarrant County should visit the local Child Care Management Services (CCMS) website, complete a two-page online application and use the “FIND!” search tool to locate a licensed provider who accepts subsidies near their home or worksite. A CCMS caseworker will contact the applicant within 24-48 hours to finalize and activate the assistance.
