Riverside Daycare Worker, 73, Arrested for Sexual Assault Against Children

RIVERSIDE, Ca. – A 73-year-old daycare worker at a Riverside daycare was arrested for sexually assaulting as many as eight children.

On March 18, 2020, at around 2:50 p.m. police responded to the 5000 blocks of Monte Carlo Court for the report of a sexual assault against a child. Officers were investigating a report of David Diaz, an employee of Diaz Family Daycare at the location, sexually assaulting several children over the past few years. The alleged sexual abuse was reported by the children to their parents.

Through investigation, it was learned that around eight children may have been assaulted by Diaz in the past three years. Authorities said that the daycare had been open for around 30 years. Authorities are concerned that there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.

Diaz was arrested and later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for numerous counts of lewd acts against children.  He is currently being held on $6 million dollars bail.
