Bedford Cuts Cost of Kindergarten for Low Income Residents

BEDFORD – Bedford Public Schools officials last week voted to slash the cost of all-day kindergarten for low-income families. According to the Union Leader, Bedford will still charge $5,250 per year for students to enroll in its K-Plus program, but school officials voted to significantly reduce the discount from 50 percent off to 90 percent off.

Families that qualify for free and reduced lunch will now pay $525 per year for their child to attend public, all-day kindergarten in the Bedford School District.
