Records show driver turned off safety alarm in Broward daycare van where boy died

Newly released records show that the driver turned off a safety alarm in the daycare van where a 2-year-old boy died, the Sun Sentinel reported.

According to a report obtained by the Sun Sentinel, the driver parked the white Ford E-350 Super Duty van the morning of July 29 and walked around the outside of the van to the back to turn off the safety alarm. She then allowed the kids off the van at the Ceressa’s Enrichment and Empowerment Academy.

The report says the driver was supposed to inspect each seat before turning off the alarm.

Two-year-old Noah Sneed was left in the van for five hours, according to the Sun Sentinel. The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating his death as possible manslaughter.
